Coronovirus/COVID19

Please check back often for any future updates

Update as of December 1, 2020
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no MTA indoor season and no group training on the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre track.  Due to the gathering limits currently in place and any future Provincial, Municipal and Public Health directives with gathering limits it is not feasible for this program for indoor season.
Please continue to watch for updates for outdoor season 2021.

Update as of September 28, 2020

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no MTA cross country season this fall.

Please continue to watch for updates for indoor season 2021

Update as of September 2, 2020
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic virus, our club has decided to delay the decision until September 25th as to whether there will be any training for the MTA aged athletes.  We think that the first 3 weeks of the new school year will be very stressful for students, parents, and all school staff. The Covid- 19 virus could possibly increase significantly with the re-mixing of individuals that have been separated since the cancellation of school back in March. We hope this does not occur, but it is a definite possibility. As a club, the safety of all athletes, parents and club volunteers has to take precedence over the need for group training.

Please continue to check the website and social media for updates.

Update as of June 18, 2020

To our Brantford Track and Field athletes and families:
The coaches and executive have been closely following the Provincial, Municipal and Athletics Ontario guidelines with respect to the COVID-19 situation.  Based on the current information, we have decided to make the following announcements:
  1. No new athlete registrations will be accepted until further notice.
  2. There will be no Minor Track Association (MTA) program offered for the outdoor track and field season this summer.  There are no meets planned and it is too late in the season to start up, even if we could.
  3. Athletics Ontario (AO) practices will only be held if the strict Return to Training Guidelines are followed.  Contact your coach for more information.
  4. The September MTA Cross Country meet that is hosted by the Brantford Track and Field Club will be cancelled for 2020.
  5. Athletes that have paid a full season competitive 2020 registration could be eligible for partial refunds or credits towards 2021 registration fees.
If you have any questions about any of the above please feel free to reach out to your coach or to the club through social media or email us at brantfordtfc@gmail.com

Have a safe and healthy summer.
